League of Legends Opens its Vault for the Holiday

Riot has placed its legacy skins back into the League of Legends store for a limited time. Grab em while they're hot!

Riot Games has crafted dozens of skins for its various champions over the course of the game’s lifetime.  Many of those skins they have since retired, dubbing them ‘legacy’ skins and storing them away.  In many cases this was done because the skin either didn’t sell or because they later developed new skins that were preferred for some reason.  Some of them they just decided had been in the store long enough.

Now everyone has a chance to go back and pick up any of those retired skins that they may have missed.  For the Snowdown Showdown, Riot is releasing these Legacy skins back into the store, available for purchase as we speak.

Even better, this is happening right after the implementation of the gifting feature.  As obvious of a commercial ploy as that is, it’s also a great opportunity for those of you still shopping for that special summoner this year.

So whether you’ve got a friend who’s new to the game and didn’t get a chance to see this skins when they were around or you just regret not having nabbed them yourself, swing over to the store and drop some scratch.  Hit the source link for the list of skins now available.
