Legend of Zelda: Link To The Past Comic Gets A Reprint After 20 Years

The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past comic that first appeared in Nintendo Power in 1992 is finally being reprinted by VIZ Media.

Over 20 years ago in the far off land of 1992, Nintendo Power published a comic based on The Legend of Zelda: A Link To The Past in order to promote the then newly released title. It was later put into a trade paperback in 1993, but it has been out of print and out of the hands of the many new Zelda fans that have come since. That is, until now.

VIZ Media announced today that they will be reprinting the original comics as a single volume book. The book promises to retain all of the original art and story created by Shotaro Ishinomori, who is known for series such as Cyborg 009 and everyone’s favorite bug themed sentai Kamen Rider.

The book, simply titled The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past, is scheduled for release sometime in May. It’s definitely worth checking out if you’re a Zelda fan, a fan of Nintendo Power, or really just thought the 90’s were radical.
