Limited Edition Final Fantasy X/X-2 HD Pre-Order At GameStop

This pre-order limited edition is a riddle, wrapped in a mystery, inside an enigma.
This article is over 11 years old and may contain outdated information

What few other things get gamers riled up, but the thought of attaining something of a game your friends don’t have? Nothing is more exciting than the day your game’s pre-order finally arrives, and you can boast to every social media relevant site that fits on your computer’s screen your new swag. If you are one of those who fall into this category, and also happen to like Final Fantasy X and Final Fantasy X-2, then you are in luck, sir (or madam if the shoe fits)!

It has recently been uncovered that in select regions, GameStop is offering some swag if you decide to one-up your friends and order Final Fantasy X/X-2 HD Remastered.

GameStop is being pretty quiet as to what this amazing surprise is, and it almost makes you be even more crazy to have your hands on it.

Screen-shot from Siliconera showing the “free limited edition upgrade” with pre-order.

It should be noted that this ad doesn’t seem to be appearing for everyone. Siliconera, the source of the original claims, has stated “…that the pre-order notice appears to depend on where in the world you are. Non-U.S. residents may not see the same message…”, but the odd thing about this advice is that I am a U.S. resident and wasn’t able to see it.

My own screenshot with “coming soon” and no pre-order joy.

When I attempted to find this on my own at GameStop’s website I was disappointed by a mere “coming soon” sign. Exactly what this means, I cannot say. Currently, GameStop is listing the game available for PS3 only. Hopefully, more details about the limited edition upgrade will be revealed soon so I can go on Google chat already and brag to my heart’s content.

I'm a 29 year old Jersey girl who loves games. I currently work full time, volunteer part time at this awesome non-profit called Amman Imman, and go to school part time. I also train in jiu jitsu. So time isn't quite on my side (unlike that song says). I have been trying unsuccessfully for years to clone myself so I can devote one of me to boring stuff like working and laundry - thus allowing more time for gaming. I'm willing to offer large sums of imaginary money to any who can make this happen.
