Pokemon X and Y does not launch until October 12th, but you can get the limited red or blue 3DS XL consoles right now. Each one shows the two legendary Pokemon, Xerneas and Yveltal. This does not come with the game like previous special edition consoles, so don’t think you will be able to get the game before everyone else. The new consoles cost $199.99 and there are only a limited quantity, so you better buy it quickly.

Since they are so limited, you can probably sell these on eBay for a nice bonus–that is, if you don’t want to use it for yourself. They look pretty cool and they are the XL version, so if you’ve been waiting to pick one up, now is the perfect time.

If I could afford it, and I didn’t already have a normal 3DS, I would go for this. It wasn’t until I actually got to play with a 3DS XL that I saw how much better it was. I figured it wasn’t much bigger, but there is a significant increase in the size of the screen, which is always good.

You want to get this now, don’t you?

Does the new, limited edition 3DS XL consoles entice you to finally pick one up if you haven’t already? Will be upgrading if you already have a 3DS, or stick with what you have? Discuss in the comments.
