Imagine the cosplay with this real Hylian shield

I think I can speak for everyone when I say that we have all seen the weapons Link carries in the Legend of Zelda games.  We all got excited when we picked up that master sword and received the final shield.

That feeling can now be brought into real life.  The folks over at Baltimore Knife and Sword (from the YouTube series Man at Arms: Reforged) used their master blacksmith skills and built the Hylian Shield.  It even has real amber for the Triforce Symbol and an intricate paint job.  These guys built the original Master Sword from The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past to go with the shieldbut with the red and green trim instead of the more common blue color.

The video shows how strong they made the shield by pelting it with objects and arrows.  This group has made and will most likely be making more iconic pieces.

Do you think their work does the game justice?
