Little Kitty, Big City Release Date Slated for Spring

The cat's out of the bag, and it's coming to PC and console next month.

With Nintendo’s Indie World Showcase on April 17, we’ve finally received release date details for a slew of upcoming titles, including Double Dagger Studio’s Little Kitty, Big City. The open-world adventure follows a curious feline whose well-meaning catnap quickly turns into an exciting day out in the city. Following its limited-time demo on Steam in 2023, players across platforms have been eager to get their paws on the game, which has been likened to a more casual Stray.

Luckily, the wait is almost over. Little Kitty is set to launch across PC and console on May 9, 2024. In light of its release date reveal, you can now pre-order the game on Switch at a discounted price of just $22.49. Alternatively, those on PC can wishlist the game on Steam, while Xbox Series X|S players can look forward to its arrival on Game Pass next month.

Explore the City as a Little Kitty This May

In Little Kitty, Big City, you’ll play a lost cat who stretched a little too big during a daytime nap and fell from the window of a city apartment. This has earned the game loose comparisons to Stray, though this kitty’s time spent searching for home is much more akin to a vacation.

From there, you’ll embark on an urban adventure, meeting all sorts of furry friends along the way. You’ll eventually make your way home, but there’s plenty to do in the meantime. You know what they say about curiosity, after all.

Naturally, your to-do list consists of any cat’s daily activities. The city is your playground, and exploration is chief. Start off the day by mingling with city critters, completing quests, and lending a helping paw where it’s needed. Of course, there are just as many opportunities to get into mischief. You never know where your next mission will lead you in the open-world cityscape.

Endless surprises await on your travels. From sunbathing in satellite dishes to dumpster-diving and attacking the ankles of unsuspecting pedestrians, the world is your oyster. You’ll even find a variety of hats to dress up your kitty for the occasion.
