The spiritual successor of Megaman Legends has failed to reach its Kickstarter goal of $800k. Comcept raised $519,999, missing its goal by $280k. The campaign received criticism for its sloppy handling and sketchy goals; one being a port to a mystery console. Backers were also turned off by a concurrent campaign launched promoting the Red Ash anime. This comes as a shock seeing how widely successful the Mighty No. 9 campaign was.

If you are a huge Megaman Legends fan like myself, then be at peace knowing that the Red Ash game is still a go for developement. As stated by Comcept in an update on their project page, Fuze Entertainment, a Chinese-based company engaged in console hardware and games has backed Red Ash fully allowing for the game to developed and ported to Xbox One and PlayStation 4. Hopefully the bad omen of this Kickstarter doesn’t follow the release of the real game.
