Those modders in the PC community have popped out yet another glorious mod. The game this time around is Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes, the latest release in the Metal Gear franchise. A modder by the name of Pao created a mod that allows PC players to play the game in first-person.
Ben Blatcher, the one playing the mod, writes about the mod and his experience playing it.
It’s brilliant. Not being able to see what’s round corners makes things much more tense, and you’ve gotta be really careful and try and get a good view on things beforehand. You’ve got to rely on your senses a lot more.
Throwing in a different perspective to a game isn’t something new, it’s been done by modders for a variety of games and recently it’s been done by Rockstar Games for GTA V, but the novelty of the perspective change is always interesting and welcome.
PC gamers and owners of Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes can play this mod right now. The mod still has problems and bugs but the experience is still one that gamers should try out.
