Microsoft has released the details for March’s instalment of Games with Gold and announced that all games will be playable on the Xbox One thanks to backwards compatibility.

The line-up of free games this week is;

  • Sherlock Holmes: Crimes and Punishments (Xbox One)
  • Lords of the Fallen (Xbox One)
  • Supreme Commander 2 (Xbox 360)
  • Borderlands (Xbox 360)

For the first time in Games with Gold history, all Xbox 360 titles will be available to play on the Xbox One and this will now be a running trend for the future. This means that gamers who ditched their old 360’s will have access to the full number of games on offer, making the Gold membership subscription worth it.

Just because March’s offer has been revealed that does not mean that February’s has ended. You can still grab Hand of Fate (Xbox One), Styx: Master of Shadows (Xbox One), Sacred Citadel (Xbox 360) and Gears of War 2 (Xbox 360) for free until March 1st.
