Microsoft Employs New Xbox One Marketing with Some Bite

It was reported less than a day ago here on GameSkinny that several veterans of Microsoft’s marketing staff have resigned from the company.

Their departure precedes today’s news that marketing for the Xbox One is quite literally jumping the shark… or at least diving with them. Kelly Tarlton’s SEA LIFE Aquarium in Auckland, New Zealand, is housing the first retail Xbox One unit in a waterproof case surrounded by sharks.

The unit will remain in the tank until midnight November 21st when the holder of the first pre-order will claim the system thanks in part to New Zealand’s proximity to the International Date Line. 

Meanwhile we will pretend like Target hasn’t already shipped out units early.
