Microsoft has purchased the domain name rysethecomic.com. Currently, by going to the domain name, you will be redirected to a Bing search page so Microsoft’s intention with this domain is not clear. Other sites on this server currently are Xbox domains for the Philippines. Doing a search for Ryse the Comic and Microsoft, the only correlation found is between Ryse (a game to be exclusively released for Xbox One) with Crytek as the developer and Microsoft as the publisher.
Details about Ryse: Son of Rome were released at E3 2013. You will be in control of Marius Titus and work to give your troop commands from early childhood to leader. Commands to troops will be given through voice to the Kinect while you use the controller for Titus. And what game about Romans would not be complete without the Gladiator arena? They have included this in the co-op multiplayer aspect of the game.
Perhaps with this information released, Microsoft intends to make a comic series following the life and times of Roman General Marius Titus. This still remains to be seen.
