Microsoft Reveals Deals Unlocked for E3 Week, New XB1S Fortnite Bundle

Microsoft enters the E3 sale fray with a brand-new special edition Xbox One S bundle and plenty of deals on games, gaming rigs, and more.

Hot on the heels of Sony’s Days of Play sale announcement, Microsoft lifted the lid on its own early summer sales and deals, including a brand-new Xbox One S Fortnite bundle. All of the deals will be available from June 7 through June 17.

The bundle, officially titled the Xbox One S Fortnite Battle Royale Special Edition, includes a 1TB Xbox One S with a metallic purple color, along with Fortnite (obviously), the Dark Vector cosmetic pack, 2,000 v-bucks, and a one month Xbox Live Gold subscription plus Xbox Game Pass trial.

It’ll be available beginning June 7, and unlike the Days of Play PS4 system, it appears this one won’t be a limited-time-only offer. However, there is a $50 discount on the bundle if it’s purchased during the Unlocked event.

That’s not the only bigger discount on offer during the sale either:

  • $100 off Xbox One X systems
  • $50 off Xbox One S bundles and the Xbox One S All-Digital
  • $10 off all controllers
  • Self-designed controllers will start at $64.99 for a limited time

Games are naturally included in the sale as well, many of which will be on offer for up to 75% off, including new games like Mortal Kombat 11, Tom Clancy’s The Division 2, and Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice. Microsoft hasn’t provided a list of which titles will be on offer for what price yet. The link provided just goes back to the sale preview page as of now.

Finally, Microsoft is partnering with Asus, Razer, and MSI, among others, to provide gaming PCs and laptops, as well as FreeSync displays for up to $500 off. PC games like Forza Motorsport 7 Ultimate and Gears of War 4 will be offered at a discount too.

Sony might be skipping E3 this year, but it seems the annual expo wars are about to start up yet again regardless, if in a slightly different form this time around.
