In January, Microsoft announced a TV streaming service that would be making its way to the Xbox. That service now comes in the form of Sling TV, a new live streaming service that offers a “Best of Live TV” core package for only $20 a month. While still being cheaper than Sony’s $50 a month option, Sling TV gives you the biggest channels on TV, while offering them to Xbox Live members free for 30 days.
With Sling TV, you can quickly cut ties with cable, as you are given all of the ESPN channels, along with other popular channels like AMC, TNT, TBS, and The Food Network. If you want other channels that are not included in the core package, you can have them for $5 more a month.
Sling TV brings more credibility to Xbox’s entertainment system slogan, adding a very interesting TV option for Live members. For now, Sling is definitley making a straw point with its cheap packages and the plethora of channels offered to their customers.
