Backers of Mighty No. 9 will be able to play a PC demo of the game starting on September 15th.

It was announced during a PAX Prime panel that the demo will consist of three stages. Unfortunately the demo will not be playable on any consoles, only PC.

In addition to the demo, backers will receive a free copy of Mighty Gunvolt, which is also a Mega Man-inspired game by Inti Creates.

The Keiji Inafune-developed platformer was supposed to release this year, but has been delayed into 2016, so perhaps this is a mea culpa of sorts on the part of the development team for all the game’s delays.

Despite the development team citing bugs and other issues, they are aiming for a Quarter 1 2016 release date.

In the meantime, the Mega Man Legacy Collection recently came out! So if you want some great platforming action I recommend that you play the Mega Man series.

Will you be playing the Mighty No. 9 demo? Let us know in the comments!
