If you missed out on the Sega Genesis Mini when it launched back in September, now’s your chance to get one. Best Buy has put the Sega Genesis Mini temporarily on sale, lowering the price to its Black Friday price of $49.99.

How long this sale will last is anyone’s guess. However, Best Buy sales usually run for about a week, and this isn’t a clearance sale.

The Sega Genesis Mini was Sega’s answer to Nintendo re-igniting the console wars with the NES Classic Mini and SNES Classic Mini. Like its Nintendo counterparts, the Sega Genesis Mini includes a bunch of games (40, with two bonus titles), two controllers, an HDMI cable, and a power cable.

The games range from the super popular like Phantasy Star IV and Sonic the Hedgehog 2, to the less iconic like Dynamite Headdy. And, as we said in our Sega Genesis Mini review, “they’re nearly a perfect introduction to gaming on the Sega Genesis.” Save states and a number of additional quality of life improvements contribute to that perfection too.

Check out the sale while it’s still going on over at Best Buy. If you’re looking for more sales, don’t forget the Epic Games Store Mega Sale is still going on too. Stay tuned to GameSkinny for more video game sales news as it develops.
