The PC version of the game will no longer be released in November alongside the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One versions; it has been pushed back until Spring 2016.

Ghost Games states the decision is based upon the increased frame rate they can use for PC. According to the post, PC Need for Speed players on Facebook, Twitter, Reddit, and YouTube have made it clear that frame rate is a “massive priority:”

“Part of the conversation includes hearing from our PC community that an unlocked frame rate in Need for Speed is a massive priority for you, and we fully agree. To deliver this, we’ve made the decision to move the PC release date to Spring 2016.”

The pushed back date will allow Ghost to increase the visuals on PC as well.

On the plus side, Ghost states that the content updates for Xbox One and PlayStation 4 will be released with the PC version day one.

The announcement also discusses the servers as Need for Speed is a connected game. In the coming weeks, the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One versions will have a closed beta to help test the server infrastructure.
