Netflix announced the Resident Evil: Infinite Darkness voice cast and teased a plot overview for the all-new chapter of the Resident Evil story.
Nick Apostolides and Stephanie Panisello reprise their Resident Evil 2 remake roles as Leon Kennedy and Claire Redfield, respectively.
Resident Evil: Infinite Darkness takes place in 2006, a couple of years after Resident Evil 4. Leon is in Washington D.C. investigating an incident of someone illegally accessing classified presidential files. A power failure and invading horde of zombies quickly put the investigation on hold.

Claire is heading up her own investigation. While on a relief mission aiding refugees, she found a child’s drawing of what looks like an infection outbreak. She returns to D.C. to lobby for a welfare facility and shows Leon the image. He makes some kind of connection between it and D.C.’s zombie incident but decides to keep the connection secret and handle things himself.
But this is Resident Evil. He doesn’t handle it, of course, and both zombie outbreaks lead to catastrophic events that threaten the entire country.
