As Back to the Future fans know, today (October 21, 2015) is the day that Marty visits the future in Back to the Future Part II, so LittleBigPlanet 3 is marking the occasion with a new level kit based on the time-travel trilogy.
The kit comes with a new level where Sackboy travels through 1955 Hill Valley with Marty McFly and Doc Brown, using “temporary temporal portals” to collect items to re-power the DeLorean Time Machine enough to return them all to the future. The hoverboard from the second film makes an appearance as a power-up, allowing players to speed through the level and grind across rails.
Also included are three new costumes, based on Marty’s 2015 outfit, Doc Brown’s 2015 outfit, and Biff Tannen’s 1955 outfit. If that’s not enough for you, there are also two optional costume packs, one for characters from 1985 Hill Valley (including Marty, Doc Brown, Jennifer Parker, and Biff Tannen; if you buy the whole pack, you get Doc Brown’s dog Einstein as a bonus) and one for the wild-west-style costumed characters in 1885 Hill Valley (including Marty, Doc Brown, Clara Clayton, and Buford “Mad Dog” Tannen; if you buy the whole pack, you get Doc Brown’s 1955 dog Copernicus as a bonus).

There are other Back to the Future-themed goodies as well, including two music tracks, a sound object, a background based on Doc Brown’s garage, 18 materials, 27 decorations, 4 objects, and 127 stickers.
