The new Batman: Arkham Origins trailer TV spot is sure to make you sad — very, very sad. Lets just say, it’s pretty emotional.

It tugs on your heart strings a bit, referring back to Bruce Wayne’s devastating childhood. Batman: Arkham Origins features an original prequel storyline occurring years before the events of Batman: Arkham Asylum and Batman: Arkham City.

In Batman: Arkham Origins, we meet a younger Bruce. We learn about where the crime fighter started, and are introduced to the unrefined Batman that we see a bit of in the TV spot.

The prequel takes place before the rise of our favorite dangerous villains, and we learn what created the Dark Knight that we know and love. Players will also be introduced to key characters while major relationships are formed.

In the TV spot, we see Bruce going from a happy child to well…angsty hero. The trailer is very well made with CGI, but it would have been nice to see some more gameplay. This spot was definitely meant for the comic book lovers out there.

I can’t wait to get my hands on this game, and this trailer solidified that even more.
How do you guys feel about the upcoming prequel? Think it will live up to the other two games?
