New Destiny Crucible Event “The Iron Banner” has Begun

Champions are born in battle.

Bungie released a new Crucible event in Destiny, where players can actually use their level advantages in battle in a special Player-Versus-Player environment.

Announced on the game’s official website, players will enter the special Crucible playlist where they will fight in a Fireteam of six Guardians. According to the announcement, the attack and defense ratings for weapons and armor “will be crucial to victory.” Players are encouraged to equip their most powerful gear. The Attack and Defense ratings of all weapons and armor will be very important in combat.

The Iron Banner playlist will be available from October 7-14. Players will be able to earn Legendary weapons, armor, emblems and much more while the event is available.

In order to obtain the legendary items available during this event, players must gain reputation with “The Iron Lords” through obtaining and completing Iron Banner bounties.

Your Iron Banner Reputation begins at Rank 1, which unlocks Iron Banner Emblem and Shaders, with the Emblem and Shader will each provide a 10 percent boost each to Iron Banner reputation gains if you have them equipped during games.

Iron Banner Reputation Rank 2 unlocks Iron Banner Class Items. Class Items will also provide stacking 10 percent boost to Iron Banner reputation gains as well.  Finally, Iron Banner Reputation Rank 3 unlocks Iron Banner Armor Items, along with some additional Iron Banner Emblems and Shaders.

Remember Guardians, “The Iron Banner” ends on October 14th so get out there and earn all the special gear as soon as you can!
