New Nid on the way in the next LoL patch

Nidalee gets a visual update with the next patch and Riot commemorates by doing a new Champion Spotlight for her.

Why rework?

League of Legends has been playable for years.  In the time Riot Games has had its servers up and running, it has come a very long way as a company in terms of profitability and technical capability.  It follows then that they would gain the ability to craft more attractive champions as time passes, and that the older champions would often have models that do not represent what they would want them to as well as if they were remade today.

So that’s exactly what Riot does.  They’ve done it in the past with Janna, Soraka, Gangplank, and Twisted Fate.  Now it’s the Bestial Huntress’s turn.

Cat-lady

Which brings us to Nidalee.  What was always one of the more interesting champions to look at given her tribal themes (and notable sex appeal) will, with the next patch, look better than ever, including having her alternate skins actually given graphical changes in her character model rather than simply being recolors as several of them (most noticeably Maid Nidalee) were before.

Easily the skin with the biggest improvement.

And introducing…

To give her new look a proper welcome, Phreak has done a whole new Champion Spotlight for her, in which he actually addresses both main builds for her, the long-range poke-tastic AP Nidalee and the more common aggressively inescapable AD Nidalee.

Look for your friendly neighborhood catgirl on the Fields of Justice and enjoy the newly-improved view!
