Anyone who follows professional League of Legends knows the name Taipei Assassins. The team was the winner of the game’s World Championship, taking home the $1,000,000 prize money and the bragging rights as the world’s best.
The team has returned to Taiwan, but now looks poised to have an even more severe effect on the worldwide competitive scene than it had previously. The team is getting a sister team, given the name Taipei Snipers, and the new team will be led by former Taipei Assassin MiSTakE. The hope is that he’ll be able to give them an immediate jump-start towards being a seriously competitive team.
Other players on the new team include NeXAbc as AP Carry, GoDJJ as AD Carry, Zonda in top lan, Colalin as Support, and OhReal (who held the solo player top ranking on the Hong Kong/Macau server) in the jungle.
With MiSTakE leading Taipei Snipers, Taipei Assassins leadership will be picked up by ToyZ.
