Are you one of the users that has been having the stability issue thanks to the Nintendo 3DS 5.0.0-11U update? Your problems are (hopefully) fixed as of today: a new update has been released to resolve the issue caused by the problematic update that was previously released last month.

Prior to this latest system update, users were having a number of issues. Many were unable to access the Nintendo 3DS eshop, their System Settings menu, or Game Notes.

The newest version, 5.1.0-11U, is available now for download through a wireless internet connection and it has the following as its one, lonely patch note:

Resolves an issue that may prevent access to the System Settings or other features.”

It is surprising to see that it took Nintendo an entire month to resolve this issue. Considering that the 3DS is new and they are probably losing business by players not being able to access the eshop, it seems like it would’ve been a much more urgent issue.
