Nintendo’s amiibo figures have been flying off the shelves recently, and it just came to our attention that some figurines won’t exactly be finding their way back.

If you have any interest in collecting amiibos, then you might want to snag them up as they become available, lest you’re stuck trying to haggle down outrageous prices on Craigslist.

Goodbye Marth, Wii Fit Trainer, and Villager

Over the weekend, Canadian retailer Video Games Plus shared that it wouldn’t be able to obtain any more of certain figurines. “Nintendo has officially discontinued Marth, Wii Fit Trainer & Villager amibos [sic],” they write. “Sorry folks these are gone forever.”

GameInformer sent an inquiry to Nintendo about their decision to discontinue a number of amiibo products. It was found out that certain toys will not be getting a second run.

“We will aim for certain amiibo to always be available,” a representative informed them via email. “These will be for our most popular characters like Mario and Link. Due to shelf space constraints, other figures likely will not return to the market once they have sold through their initial shipment.”

If you like to collect as many amiibo figures as you can, it would be wise to pick them up whenever they come available. Twelve figures are out now, with six more planned to release later in the month–including Zelda and Luigi, among others.

A full wave of eleven amiibo characters are planned for Feburary 2015, with more certain to come. If you would like to learn more about Nintendo’s amiibo line, feel free to check out our amiibo coverage.
