How does Free-to-Play work when it’s been confirmed that you’ll need a PlayStation Plus account to go online?
Sony Worldwide Studios President Shuhei Yoshida said at E3, that most online titles will require you to have a PS Plus subscription, however most F2P games will not.
“There will be some free to play titles that you’ll be able to play without needing a PS Plus subscription, like PlanetSide 2 and DC Universe Online.”
“As far as free-to-play games are concerned, it’s the publisher’s decision whether they put it inside or outside of PS Plus.”
I was still left a little confused but it’s sounding like you’ll be able to still play some of the F2P Titles that PS4 will offer without a PS Plus account.
