For those players out there who wanted a precious physical copy of Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain while still getting the experience on PC, your request has been answered… sort of. Players who received a retail copy of the PC version of The Phantom Pain took note of the fact that the disc was only eight megabytes.

While this is good news for those who simply wanted a physical copy of the game, players who wanted to be able to launch the game right at midnight are very disappointed. It seems that Konami did this at last minute simply to appease those who wanted a shelf decoration while they wait for hours (and for some, days) for then game to download while those playing on consoles will be able to play it right at midnight. This is especially alarming for PC users who wish to avoid spoilers before they play the game. It is easy enough to stay off the internet, but the bottom line is that there are people with malicious intent who enjoy ruining stories for others, and they will go out of their way to do so. PC players will just have to wait patiently for their game to download once the game releases. They should just be thankful that the game is not coming out September 15th…
