In a post set live too early, publisher Atlus has mistakenly leaked trailers for a Persona 3 Remake and a new tactics game titled Persona 5 Tactica. Spotted on the company’s official Instagram page earlier today by Polygon, the long-rumored existence of a Persona 3 Reload has now been made official by the existence of a decent-length trailer that showcases new visuals, gameplay, and release platforms. The remake will be hitting PC, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S in early 2024. It will also launch on Xbox Game Pass.

While everyone expected a Persona 3 Remake to exist, others weren’t so sure about another entry in the Persona 5 series. Similar to Persona 3 Reload, Persona 5 Tactica had a nearly two-minute-long trailer that showcased gameplay, visuals, and some bits of story. Since this is a completely original game, there isn’t much to compare, but the art style is going for a more chibi-inspired look. Tactica will also obviously not be an RPG, but a tactics RPG.

The trailer ends by saying Persona 5 Tactica will release on November 17, 2023, for PC, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S with a day-one release on Xbox Game Pass. It’s pretty unthinkable that Atlus wouldn’t also launch these games on PlayStation and Switch, so these trailers were likely intended for Microsoft’s Xbox Games Showcase this Sunday. Much like the recent ports of Persona 3 Portable, Persona 4 Golden, and Persona 5 Royal to every platform, it’s safe to say these games will be playable everywhere.

For the moment, Atlus has not confirmed nor denied the existence of these trailers, but you can’t really put the cat back into the bag once it gets loose. We’ll keep our eyes peeled for official information once it becomes available, but the only thing really left to learn is the price of each game. Thanks, Polygon.
