February 23, 2016. It’s grow time! Plants Vs. Zombies Garden Warfare 2 is finally available for purchase!
In February of 2014, Plants Vs. Zombies Garden Warfare took what the world knew about the PopCap series and turned it on its head. An all new way to play Plants Vs. Zombies saw players becoming soldiers on either side of the battle that’s been raging on smartphones for so many years. A third-person online multiplayer shooter with plants sprouting legs (haha) and fighting zombies to keep them out of their home of “Suburbia” was certainly something the world wasn’t used to. But something definitely went right. The game was a smash hit and players have been waiting for a sequel for two years.
Plants Vs. Zombies Garden Warfare 2 has upped the ante with an all new cast of deadly zombies and colorful plants, tons of inspired maps, and exciting gamemodes.
If you’re worried this game will step too far away from its predecessor, don’t fret! Almost every character and gamemode from the original will be available in the newer game; with older characters receiving new abilities to even the playing field when doing battle with some of the fresh faces. Twelve multiplayer maps and forty playable characters will be available at launch, all you’ll need to do is unlock them. It’s worth mentioning that players with experience in the first game will see stats and unlockables carry over.
The zombies have won the battle for “Suburbia,” appropriately renamed “Zomburbia.” It’s time for the plants to take it back. The only question is: will you help them?
