Sony has big plans for 2013, and come February 20 we’re going to get a taste of what they’ve got in store according to this “PlayStation 2013” trailer. An announcement of an announcement? I’m pretty okay with this.
The first whiff of the trailer came from the PlayStation Twitter:

“See the future,” eh? Clicking through to the site leads us to the trailer, which itself is just as vague as the tweet.
This is obviously some sort of hardware announcement. There is absolutely nothing here implying that this is a new piece of software of any kind. Showing off some pretty tech in such a cryptic way is a sure sign of a new piece of hardware coming. PlayStation 4, anyone?
We’re just going to have to wait for February 20 to see what’s up with this whole PlayStation 2013 thing. If it is not a hardware announcement, I will turn in my internet detective license. Just slap it into a box and bury it forever.
