PlayStation 5 Console Revealed, Includes Two Options

The PlayStation 5 will launch later this year with two models, as well as a number of peripherals.

We finally know what the PlayStation 5 looks like. After months of conjecture, and a render I thought looked a little silly back in August, the final PS5 design has been unleashed upon us. Sony revealed it today at the very end of its Future of Gaming presentation.

At launch, the PlayStation 5 will come in two variations. One will be a digital-only model, while the other, presumably more expensive model, will feature a disc drive. The latter is a bit bulkier because of that, but overall, the two systems feature a similar design.

A Dualsense charging station, HD camera, media remote, and Pulse 3D wireless headset were also revealed alongside the system. Sony unveiled the Dualsense earlier this year, detailing the controller’s haptic feedback capabilities and the iterative changes made when moving on from the classic DualShock design.

As of this writing, it’s still not clear how much the PlayStation 5 will cost when it launches this holiday season. We’ll just have to wait and see.
