The Pokemon TCG Scarlet and Violet Paldea expansion has been announced by The Pokemon Company Internation even before the new Pokemon TCG: Scarlet and Violet Series has been released. Featuring new Tera Pokemon, the expansion contains over 190 cards. The set will be released to participating stores on June 9, 2023. 

Scarlet & Violet — Paldea Evolved will feature a variety of Pokemon, including Pokemon ex, Tera Pokemon ex, Slowking, Forretress, Dedenne, and franchise mascot Pikachu. 

The Booster Packs feature designs of Chien Pao, Meowscarada, Quaquaval, Skeledirge, and Ting-Lu. Alternate art styles, showing off the Pokemons personality, will be included for illustration rare and special illustration rare cards. Here are the details on the special cards included in the set:

  • 15 Pokemon ex
  • 3 Tera Pokemon ex
  • 36 illustration rare Pokemon
  • 18 ultra rare Pokemon ex
  • 8 ultra rare Supporter cards
  • 15 special illustration rare Pokemon and Supporter cards
  • 9 hyper rare gold etched cards (Pokemon ex, Trainer, and Energy cards)

Available for pre-order, the Scarlet & Violet — Paldea Evolved Pokemon Center Elite Trainer Box will include two promo cards, with one featuring the Pokemon Center logo. It will also contain two additional booster packs, sleeves, the rulebook, coins, damage counters, and energy cards. The box is available for $77.99 on the Pokemon Center website.
