Police Use Pokemon Go to Lure Criminals

It’s interesting to see the ridiculous things people will do to catch their Pokemon in Pokemon GO. Trekking into dangerous neighborhoods… Playing the game while driving…  One person in particular is quitting their job to become a full time travelling Pokemon master.

Now, it appears that someone has found a way to use this to their advantage. The Manchester NH Police Department is that desire for rare Pokemon as a tool of justice.

Discovering that there’s a Charizard in their booking room (likely put there by an officer playing or a teenager invading the department), they’ve set out an invitation list for trainers to come and snag the Pokemon while it’s still there. Sadly, most trainers probably won’t be able to get in.

Why?

That list is really just their ‘wanted list’. It turns out you need to be a criminal to get into a booking station. Who would have thought? Good luck to them for taking advantage of Pokemon GO, although my faith in humanity might be shattered if someone turns themselves in over a Pokemon.
