Redfall is Arkane Austin’s Newest IP, Coming Exclusively to Xbox and PC

Redfall is an upcoming shooter full of blood-sucking vampires that can be played solo or with friends.

Redfall is a brand new IP from Arkane Austin, the studio behind Dishonored and Prey, that was announced during Xbox and Bethesda’s E3 2021 showcase. Redfall is an open-world co-op FPS, bringing Arkane’s unique style to a new kind of action game.

A legion of vampires has taken over the quiet town of Redfall, Massachusetts, and it’s up to you playing as one of four diverse characters to stop them from eating through the whole town.

You’ll either be able to go in alone against the hordes of vampires or team up with up to three other players for some much-needed backup. Different hero loadouts give the gameplay what appears to be an incredible amount of variety; gameplay also looks to rely heavily on combining different abilities with teammates.

The trailer shown during the Xbox/Bethesda E3 2021 event, however, isn’t gameplay, so while these elements do seem to be core to the experience, we’ll have to wait and see more to find out. With Arkane Austin’s pedigree, though, and the support they’ll no doubt get from other Xbox Studios as an Xbox exclusive, it is safe to say Redfall is a title to watch.
