Friday saw the release of three teaser pages for the new skin, each with a video bearing a different descriptive title and different music clips: Kinetic, Concussive, and Ethereal.

Sona is a support champion who utilizes her songs and relies on ability power to do magic damage, making the announced skin highly appropriate for the character.

The image associated with each video could be a hint as to what DJ Sona’s head may look like; it appears that the new skin could be inspired by popular techno DJ DeadMau5.

The colors associated with each video seem closely related to the colors of each of her in-game songs: Ethereal is blue with a calming melody, Kinetic is green with a more frenetic song, and Concussive is red with a driving, focused beat. These could be associated with her Q, W, and E abilities, respectively.

Following on the heels of Riot’s release of the song “The Curse of the Sad Mummy” detailing champion Amumu’s story and the offering of a free download of Songs of League of Legends Volume 1, there seems to be a new focus on music in the game.
