To state that I am a Robotech fan would be a misnomer. Robotech is something that is in my blood that lies dormant until I see something that reignites my passion. I still remember when the series first blasted onto the television in the 80s. The transforming robots and alien invaders immediately caught my attention and never let go.
I watched every episode, read all of the novels, and even collected the Palladium RPG books (even though none of my friends were into that sort of thing). I lusted over the fancy toys that I couldn’t afford and simply wanted to know everything I could about this particular universe.
It seems I am not the only one! Palladium recently launched a Kickstarter to take the RPG a step further by introducing miniatures The project was funded in a day and is well on its way to reaching over $1,000,000. To put that into perspective: the Camelot Unchained MMORPG (of which I am also a supporter) made just over $2,200,000. That just shows you the passion of the tabletop community!
I for one jumped in immediately. I now watch excitedly as the numbers climb higher and higher and the stretch goals are unlocked. If you’re an old school Robotech fan I highly recommend heading over to the site and giving it a good look.
