Twitch and Rocket League developer Psyonix have announced a partnership and will be creating the official Rocket League Championship Series (RLCS). Twitch streams of the popular car/soccer game has allowed Rocket League to be taken seriously as an eSport and it looks to finally be coming to a head. Rocket League Twitch streams have helped aid the games popularity and it was evident right away that the game could translate to eSport success.

Sign ups for the RLCS will begin on March 25th. The standard 3v3 format will be used in the tournament. Each RLCS season will span 3 months, culminating in a live Finals taking place over the course of a weekend.

As previously noted above, Twitch will have a heavy hand in setting up the infrastructure of the RLCS and consult with Psyonix in doing so. The time is now so get practicing. Those qualifying matches will be taking place soon and before you know it, you could find you and your team playing for thousands of dollars. All there is left to do is hit the sticks and prepare.
