MMO Hall of Fame has announced the 2013 Hall of Fame inductees!

Games nominated for the Hall of Fame must meet certain requirements to be inducted, and even then, only five games will be chosen out of the numerous nominees. This year, the top game was Runescape, totaling 80% of nominee votes. Last year, Ultima Online took the cake with 100%  of nominee votes.

Becoming an inductee is certainly no easy feat, since you have to be selected by the nominating committee. In order to become a member of the committee, you must “…have established credentials in the industry and can not be biased in any way.” Members included notables such as: Todd Coleman of KingsIsle Entertainment, Bryan Koski of En Masse Entertainment and Jeff Riggall of Cartoon Network Game Studio and Stephen Johnston, President of GameSkinny. While the public votes on games nominated for a place in the Hall, the nominating committee has the final say so on who gets in each year.
