Scarlet Nexus Gamescom Trailer Shows New Characters, Psychic Powers

The latest Scarlet Nexus trailer delves into a range of psychic powers the Other Suppression Force employs in its fight against the odds.

There’s already a lot to be excited about when it comes to Bandai Namco’s upcoming action RPG, Scarlet Nexus, but that didn’t stop the developer from filling our cups to the brim during Gamescom.

The event’s pre-game show snuck in a brief new look at Scarlet Nexus‘ psychic abilities and some new members of the Other Suppression Force fighting alongside protagonist Yuito Sumeragi.

Sumeragi’s colleagues are Hanabi, Nagi, Fubuki, and Kasane, though the trailer doesn’t identify who is which. But it does show the depths of the psychic powers they control thanks to the psionic hormone and the weapons they use.

One wields literal fire power, generating flames with a click of the fingers. Another instantly creates multiple copies of herself to confuse opponents before blasting them with well-timed pistol shots.

One OSF member seems to use a cloaking ability of some kind, appearing in mid-air before launching a number of knives at foes.

The bulk of the trailer focuses on one character, perhaps Sumeragi, transforming into what looks rather like one of the Others, the mutants the OSF tries to save the planet from.

There’s still a lot of unknowns about Scarlet Nexus. Given it’s meant to release in the Xbox Series X launch window, Bandai Namco may have more news on the way, so stay tuned to GameSkinny for more Scarlet Nexus news as it develops.
