Oh, for the love of Pine. That’s right, Scott Pilgrim vs. the World: the Game’s newest DLC, containing its online multiplayer mode(s) and a playable Wallace, has been delayed yet again. I haven’t been this mad over a beat ’em up since any and every time I’ve played the third level of Battletoads.
Of course, like any smart company does when it’s pooping in the hands of its fans, including fine chaps like me, who are begging the creators to let us throw our hard earned cash at them, Ubisoft released a statement to Destructoid:
The downloadable content for Scott Pilgrim vs. The World: The Game has been delayed for fine-tuning and to incorporate feedback from the passionate Scott Pilgrim community. Ubisoft is addressing feedback from the community on the best ways to honor retro games in the Scott Pilgrim vs. The World: The Game DLC in an accurate and respectful manner. Ubisoft, and the new team developing the DLC, respect creative properties and, of course, want to be sure to deliver a game experience that is a proper tribute to the Scott Pilgrim franchise.
They’ve had a pretty dang long time to get feedback and at this point, it makes me wonder if it’ll end up coming out or not. As much as I love the game, not having online multiplayer as a release feature, in any game made this generation or even towards the middle of the last generation of consoles, is quite honestly ridiculous.
Well, with any hope, the folks at Ubisoft will get their act together and finally release the Scott Pilgrim vs. the World: the Game DLC that its fans have been waiting for.
