Second Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous Beta Rises in May

The last chance to play Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous before it launches later this year is just around the corner.

Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous ended its Kickstarter campaign on March 11 with more than $2 million pledged to the game’s development, smashing the $300,000 goal set by developer Owl Cat Games. In February, the team released a beta build and has since been implementing tweaks and changes based on player feedback.

On May 5, Owl Cat will release a second beta for Kickstarter and Slacker Backer supporters. The team said it will be the last beta and chance to play Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous ahead of the game’s release later this year on Steam and GoG. While the game will also release on GoG, this second beta will only be accessible through Steam to “relevant tiers.”

This second beta won’t be a separate experience from the first beta, as is the case with some games. Instead, all of the content from the first beta, which was available in February, will be available here. On top of that, Owl Cat is adding additional content, including some of the updates they’ve made over the past three months (once the beta releases on May 5).

The team said that fans can expect “crusade gameplay, never-before-seen side quests, a talking weapon companion, the final in-game UI design, and more.”

Just as with the original beta, Creative Director Alexander Mishulin said it’s important the team monitors fan feedback during this phase to make the final product the best it can be.

Our studio is excited for fans to once again embark on a Mythic Path and immerse themselves in well over 50 hours of spellbinding content. We plan on carefully monitoring feedback as we gear up for the game’s launch later this year, just as we did during our first beta this past February.

Stay tuned for more on Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous as we learn more and edge ever closer to its release later this year.
