The latest Shin Megami Tensei 3 remaster trailer shows off the game's new voice acting and some of the dark choices that await.

Shin Megami Tensei 3: Nocturne first released on the PlayStation 2 at a time when voice acting was the exception. The remaster features voice acting, alongside visual improvements and an adjustable difficulty.

A demonic revolution called The Conception overtakes Tokyo and sweeps away life as the high-school protagonist knew it. Yet in death, there is beginning. He’s reborn as a half demon, hence the “Demi-Fiend” name, and a heavy weight is on his shoulders because this is an RPG. It’s not just his rebirth either.

Demons might roam the streets and wage war against the gods, but human life continues on. Key factions are determined to rebuild the world according to their will, and in traditional Shin Megami Tensei fashion, the Demi-Fiend must decide whether he serves the forces of Law or Chaos.

Shin Megami Tensei 3 remastered releases May 25 for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, and PC via Steam.
