Shovel Kinght from the game Shovel Knight, developed by Yacht Club Games, will make appearance in Azure Striker Gunvolt 2, the sequel to the action-platform game Azure Striker Gunvolt developed by Inti Creates.
Players will be able to face the challenge of fighting Shovel Knight with Gunvolt or Copen by scanning a Shovel Knight amiibo to Nintendo 3DS with Azure Striker Gunvolt. The teaser trailer shows how to fight against Shovel Knight, and some of the attack patterns of Shovel Knight are shown.
It’s a pretty fun, action-packed fight, and might push your skills to their limits…we hope all Shovel Knight amiibo owners will give it a shot!
The Shovel Knight sprite used in Azure Striker Gunvolt 2 was designed by Masaya Suzuki, who has designed the sprite of Mega Man Zero and created sprites for Breath of Fire series.
Azure Striker Gunvolt 2 will be released on August 25th, 2016 for Japan and September 30th, 2016 for North America for Nintendo 3DS and PC.
