Shovel Knight DLC Coming Soon

I will be one of the first one to say how great a game Shovel Knight is, and I’m sure that there are many, many people who agree with me.

However, the game released a while ago, and (in theory) you can only play a game so many times before it really starts to get old. Well, Yacht Club Games has decided to help you out by releasing downloadable content for the game, coming to the Nintendo eShop on the Nintendo 3DS and Wii U versions of the game.

The DLC, called Plague of Shadows, should be available to the public in the middle of 2015. You’ll get the opportunity to play as Plague Knight in his quest to craft Serum Supernus, the potion to end all potions. To get your hands on the ingredients needed, you have to take them from the other members of the Order of No Quarter.

New gameplay mechanics, like the alchemy system and new bosses, to fight make Shovel Knight feel like a totally new game and a new challenge. Guess what the best part is? It’s free!
