The developer Jundroo, LLC likes to create physics games that let you come up with your own solution to the problem. One very popular game of theirs is SimpleRockets, a game that takes place is in an open universe, where you can create your own space ships, moon landers, and space stations, all interacting with one another. The game got such high praise from the community that many call it a 2D Kerbal Space Program for mobile.

Today Jundroo, LLC brings the scope of the universe down to one planet, but keeps it to the sky with SimplePlanes. The game plays as a 3D flight simulator, but offers you the chance to create your own aircraft. The limits of what you can create is almost limitless with the amount of customization available in the game. You are given a cockpit piece and you build your aircraft around it. It’s then up to you to make sure it is structurally sound and is capable of flight.

For those of us who don’t have a degree in aerophysics, the developer was nice enough to provide 5 very capable planes. You can then change them to your liking or even start over with a new idea. Either way it is hard to go wrong as getting your first plane to take flight without crashing is a fantastic experience that will make the struggle of building it worth it.
