The release date for Skull and Bones has yet to be set in stone, with the game scheduled for sometime during the 2023 through 2024 fiscal year, but you don’t have to wait that long to get your pre-order in if you’re interested in Ubisoft Singapore’s entry to the sparsely populated pirate action-adventure genre. Let’s get into the nitty-gritty of what you can expect from your Skull and Bones pre-order bonuses and options.

Skull and Bones Official Trailer

Skull and Bones offers a more tactical approach to seafaring than Rare’s Sea of Thieves, and more realistic visuals to boot. Much of the game is still yet unknown but more details are sure to be released as we get closer to its unmarked release date later in the year.

Skull and Bones Pre-Order Bonuses

The base pre-order bonus is the Highness of the High Sea Pack, which features the Notoriety Garb and Coronation Fireworks. There are different pre-order bonuses between retailers, and the Highness of the High Sea Pack that comes with ordering with most retailers is mysteriously missing from the Best Buy option — though Best Buy offers a $10 gift card with Skull and Bones pre-order.

As for the retailer specifics on the standard edition of the game, they are as follows:

Retailer Pre-order Bonus

  • Best Buy — $10 promotional gift card with pre-order.
  • Walmart — Exclusive deck of playing cards.

Skull and Bones Standard Edition

The standard edition of Skull and Bones will cost $69.99 and is available for pre-order across several several retailers for both its digital and physical editions.

Skull and Bones Premium Edition

The Premium Edition of Skull and Bones includes a few distinct bonuses from the standard release and costs $89.99. The Premium Edition bonuses are:

  • Two extra missions
  • Digital artbook and soundtrack
  • Steelbook (for Premium Edition purchases on console)
  • Smugger Pass Token
  • The Ballad of Bloody Bones Collection
    • 11 Ashen Corsair ship ornaments
    • Bloody Bones Captain outfit

Premium Edition Retailers

The physical release of the Premium Edition will be the hardest to get your hands on and is also the most expensive option, though it’s certainly the snazziest one. We’ve got a long while until Skull and Bones finally releases, though, and notably for PC players the game is an Epic Games Store exclusive and has no announced Steam release date.
