Souls-like RPG Lies of P Gets Release Window, New Trailer

After months of speculation, Lies of P finally has a more specific release window.

The hotly anticipated Bloodborne-inspired Lies of P finally has a more specific release window. After several months of waiting, Round 8 Studio has updated the game’s release window from the vague promise of a 2023 release to a much less vague “August 2023.”

Announced during IGN’s Fan Fest, the new release window was revealed in a cinematic trailer that showcased Simon, a never-before-seen character who seems to have some sort of tie to the monsters that will feature heavily in the game.

While there wasn’t any in-game footage in the trailer, it did function as something of a tone-setter to help further establish Lies of P‘s themes and world. Luckily, the world of Lies of P seems to be one of the game’s main selling points as it leans heavily on its gothic influences, drawing from Bloodborne‘s imagery and tone which can be seen clearly in the new trailer.

There’s currently no official word from Round 8 Studio on when we can expect a more specific release date in August, but given the current climate of ever-changing release dates, that’s almost to be expected.

As we get closer to the summer and the August window, hopefully we’ll get another trailer or other announcement telling the full Lies of P release date.

Lies of P will launch on PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S in August. The game launches on Game Pass.
