According to the PlayStation Blog, the classic SNES side-scroller, Super Star Wars is getting a re-release on PlayStation 4 and Vita alongside the launch of the hotly anticipated Star Wars: Battlefront.

The game has been updated to include Trophies (though, no Platinum), Leaderboards, Save Features, updated display and controller options. The game is also available for free via voucher if you purchase the Star Wars: Battlefront PS4 bundle along with upgraded versions of Star Wars: Racer Revenge, Star Wars: Jedi Starfighter, and Star Wars Bounty Hunter.

Quick Take: It’s a good day to be a Star Wars fan. A new movie coming next month, a game Battlefront fans have been waiting ten years for, and now a classic SNES game with Trophies?! It looks like Star Wars is going to be relevant for a long time to come but unfortunately, that likely means that the brand is eventually going to be milked dry. Until that time comes, fans should just enjoy the hype while it lasts.
