TERA Server Transfers No Longer Free on June 11, New Servers Now Open for Transfer

TERA players can finally transfer their characters to the game's newest servers, but a fee for transfers is being implemented on June 11.

TERA players have enjoyed the luxury of free server transfers since the game went free to play, but that luxury is coming to an end. En Masse Entertainment have announced that after June 11, a fee for server transfers will be implemented for the first time since TERA: Rising‘s launch.

If you are one of the many looking to get into (or out of) Lake of Tears or Ascension Valley but don’t want to spend money on a transfer, worry not! As of yesterday, transfers to and from those servers are now open for all.

This is notable because these servers were put up to compensate for the rise in population after the game’s free to play launch. As such, this is the first time they have been open to transfer to and from since their inception.

New Fees, New Rules

Between now and June 11, a character must be at least level 40 and can have a maximum of 20,000 gold, up from the previous level 30 and 10,000 gold limits. Once the free transfer period has ended, the following restrictions will be implemented:

  • Characters must be level 20+ to be eligible for transfer.
  • 50,000 gold transfer limit
  • 5 day cooldown, down from 30 days

Server transfers will cost 2,750 EMP for standard TERA account holders and 1,650 EMP for Elites. These new rules and costs are being implemented at 12PM PDT on June 11, so be sure to get your transfers done beforehand!
