The Longest Five Minutes Delayed to 2018 and Coming to Nintendo Switch

NIS America's JRPG has been delayed to next year, but will also receive a Nintendo Switch version.

At Anime Expo, NIS America announced that its upcoming JRPG, The Longest Five Minutes, has been pushed back for an early 2018 release in the West.

In addition to this, NIS America announced that the game will be coming to the Nintendo Switch, alongside its release on PC and PlayStation Vita. The Nintendo Switch version of the game will also have a limited edition physical release which will include a two disc soundtrack, an art booklet, a four piece lapel pin set, and a collector’s box. This edition of the game will cost $54.99.

The Longest Five Minutes is a JRPG which features a protagonist in his final battle with evil Demon King, when he suddenly loses his memory including but not limited to: his signature moves, his hometown, and even his motivation for fighting against the evil villain. During the battle, conversations with allies and the villain will help the protagonist regain his memories and will be revealed as playable flashbacks.

The Longest Five Minutes was originally released exclusively in Japan on July 28, 2016 for the PlayStation Vita. The game will release for the West in early 2018 for PC, PlayStation Vita, and Nintendo Switch.
