A source leaked a promotional poster to Kotaku showing the trademark hooded assassin mid-battle with a gang of swashbuckling pirates. On the back is a map, presumably of the locales our new lead will plunder through. The main map shows the 1715 Caribbean with inlays of Florida, the Cayo Islands, and the coast of Andreas

Eurogamer reports that the new protagonist of Assassin’s Creed: Black Flag is Edward Kenway — father and grandfather of Haytham and Connor of Assassin’s Creed 3, respectively. 

Kotaku’s source relayed that the poster will be on display starting March 4.

A screenshot purported to be of Xbox360 game play also found its way online care of The Examiner

Ubisoft has been tight-lipped other than to say that the upcoming title will feature a new protagonist and setting. They’ll probably break their silence later today at their planned Assassin’s Creed event and either confirm all of this or blow it out of the water.
